Impromptu Tea Party ♥
The other day my mother-in-law was coming over and whilst I was out at M&S that morning I spotted some Sparkling Raspberry & Lemon Soda in the most gorgeous vintage style glass bottle! It was only £2.49 so I had to get it, and then I decided to do a mini afternoon tea / tea party! I made some chocolate chip muffins, using white, milk and dark chocolate chips, and I bought some juicy red strawberries too. The drink is made with raspberries and tangy Sicilian lemon juice and the bubbles made it light and refreshing. I'd definitely buy some again as I just love the bottle and label!
I displayed all the goodies on my pitifully small coffee table (!) and the muffins went on a gingerbread cake stand, and the strawberries on my funky vintage watermelon plate! I also put some cute stripy seahorse straws in our glasses, and some love heart napkins out. It looked so cute altogether!
I loved throwing this impromptu tea party (although I suppose no tea was actually involved!! But you know what I mean!) and I'll be doing more in the future. I love the retro vintage style products you can find in M&S, these bottles of fizzy pop would look great on the tables of a rustic 'barn' wedding!

DeleteThis looks so cute! I've been meaning to have a little afternoon tea party for a while, I think I might just do so you've made me want to do it now even more so! My favourite afternoon tea would consist of a nice salad or a baguette sandwich filled with something yummy!
