Bourjois 3 for 2 at Superdrug FOTD ♥

I recently ran out of my foundation - Revlon Photoready, and whilst I really liked it I wanted to try out a new product instead of repurchasing. I went into Superdrug and noticed they had a 3 for 2 offer on Bourjois cosmetics. I was torn between the 'Healthy Mix' and '123 Perfect' foundations as I have heard good things about both. I decided on '123' and I also picked up a new 'Volume Glamour Ultra Black' mascara and a pretty 'Intense Extrait 3' eyeshadow.

I bought the 'Light Vanilla' shade of the 123 foundation, as it's the palest. The foundation claims to counteract common skin issues by balancing out colour pigments:

3 correcting pigments for zero imperfections:
  1. Yellow pigments: Anti dark circles
  2. Mauve pigments: Anti dull complexion
  3. Green pigments: Anti redness
  • 24hr hydration and anti-shine: cotton flower extract
  • SPF 10
  • Medium coverage, yet lets skin breathe
  • Soft and smooth formula for a second skin finish

When I first squirted the product out it felt very runny and I was little worried that it would be watery and not cover any blemishes. However, when applied it evens my skin tone out and makes it appear quite smooth and regular. What I also love about this foundation is that it makes my skin feel so soft, and it blends in so easily. I have used my fingers and a stippling brush to apply. Using a brush makes the final result even more flawless. It also has a very subtle fragrance which is really lovely. I would say it definitely combats my redness and freshens up my complexion which can look dull and grey sometimes. It provides medium coverage but can be built up by layering more product on. It gives an almost powdery finished effect - and by no means cakey. I have oily skin and my skin stays quite matte all day. I think I have found a winner! Love this product more than my last foundation and will buy again.

I wanted a pretty, summery eyeshadow and when I saw the glittery 'Intense Extrait' eyeshadow pots I was like a magpie attracted to all the beautiful sparkling shades! I picked no.3 which is a lovely peach colour with lots of fine silver shimmer particles. It can be built up from a little glisten of sparkle to full on spangle-tastic eyelids! When I applied it I was a little shocked at how peachy it looked on my skin but I grew to like it! I'd like to buy a grey shade too to do a shimmery, smokey eye.

Here I am wearing all 3 products. The final product I bought in the offer was the 'Volume Glamour Ultra Black' mascara. It is very pigmented and dark black which I like, but it does come off a little gloopy on the wand and I have to scrape the excess off before I use it. It does give a lot of length to your lashes and a bit of volume. It's an OK mascara but I'm not sure I would purchase again!

I love the look of all 3 products together as its a really nice fresh look. The eyeshadow is very subtle so hard to capture on camera! You'll have to excuse the photos - it looks like I'm not wearing anything but I'm actually wearing a strapless maxi dress!! :-) I think my favourite purchase out of the 3 is definitely the foundation. It transforms your skin into a velvety dream with not a blemish in sight!

What's your favourite Bourjois product?
