Beach Fashion: George at Asda Swimsuits ♥
I packed a lot of bikinis for my honeymoon but I also wanted to buy a nice swimsuit in case I went on any snorkeling or water sport trips. I was searching everywhere but couldn't find one I liked in the shops. In the end I went online and ordered one from George at Asda. It was a desperate last minute panic buy, I will admit, as I was so busy with final wedding preparations I just didn't have the time to search the high street.
When it arrived I was thrilled. It fit perfectly and looked quite vintage/pin up with the polka dot print. It was super flattering and I couldn't wait to wear it on honeymoon. I ended up wearing it on a boat trip to Barbuda (see pic on the boat deck!) and it was the perfect swimsuit. It had detachable halter neck straps, which I removed so I wouldn't get strap marks. I also wore it with a navy blue daisy skirt when we weren't in the water, and the swimsuit acted like a lovely strapless top. It had an inbuilt bra so was very supportive and didn't fall down at all!
When on the beach back at the resort I wore it with some gold slim fit havaianas which were the comfiest flip flop ever! The turquoise green went really well with the champagne gold of the flip flops. I never wore the straps with this swimsuit as I just didn't need to as it stayed up so well.
If I'd known how good this swimsuit was going to be and had time to order more before I went away, I would definitely have bought it in the other colours available. You can buy this swimming costume for only £14 which I think is a bargain! It comes in a slightly different polka dot print in black and pink. There's also a similar navy and white striped swimsuit, but it doesn't seem to have the nice ruche detail like these.

What's your favourite swimsuit?

That swimsuit is gorgeous! I'm not going on holiday this year, but if I book anything last minute I'm definitely swaying towards getting a swimsuit or vintage/retro style two piece rather than a skimpy bikini. The print on these is so lovely, I'm really impressed! I think the one you're wearing and the Cerise are my favourite! X
