Powder Beauty in Brighton ♥

This weekend I took a day trip to my home town Brighton to see some friends. It was really rainy and miserable but I still had an amazing time! In the morning I met up with a friend for brunch at Cafe Rouge and then I took her to get our nails done at a vintage beauty parlour, called Powder Beauty. I found this place online and had to book an appointment when I saw it was vintage themed!

My friend and I ran inside from the rain and sat in gorgeous vintage velvet armchairs whilst we waited for our appointment. The salon is really inviting with wooden floors and vintage vogue magazine covers framed on the wall! They also have some vintage garments and jewellery for sale which is a nice touch. Whilst we waited we given a cup of tea and a biscuit, served in a very cute vintage teacup and saucer!

My friend and I both had a mini manicure done, and I chose OPI 'Party in my Cabana' colour which is a really nice pink that's not too 'barbie' and not too pale and uninspiring either! My friend went for a jewel purple-blue colour.

I was really pleased with the result and they shaped them perfectly, just how I like them. They really paid attention to detail and ensured they were finished off 'just so'!

The ladies who work there are so lovely and chatty. I'd definitely recommend paying them a visit if you are ever in the area. They also do hen party packages, which is something I'm now considering for my hen do. Powder Beauty do professional make up, eyelash extensions, massages, waxing, tanning as well as manicures and pedicures!

I really enjoyed visiting the salon as I find most mainstream beauty salons to be a bit cold and impersonal and not really 'me'. I felt right at home in Powder Beauty and will definitely be returning for another treatment!

What have you done this weekend?
